Ok. I’m ready to go. What kind of computer do I need?

HARDWARE:
You can use a Mac or a PC laptop. Generally speaking, the more memory and hard drive space, the better. Most computers these days are just fine as is. A 3 button mouse es essential. Trackpads won’t be accurate enough for design and animation work.
For any digital drawing, you’ll need an iPad with an Apple Pencil.

SOFTWARE:
You’ll need an Adobe Cloud account.
The Adobe account is important because you can download key software like Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects as well as some AI tools. When you get this account, you also get a free lite version of Cinema 4d.
If you’re going to be doing any digital drawing, you’ll need the Procreate app for iPad.
We understand that all this can be pretty overwhelming so please don’t hesitate to reach out and we’ll guide you through the process and make this as painless as possible.

THESE COURSES ARE SOFTWARE SPECIFIC
For Design, any Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Adobe Firefly) you’ll need an Adobe Cloud account.
For 3d, the software you’ll need is a Maxon account in order to download Cinema 4d and Redshift Renderer.
For anything AI, you’ll need an account with Magnific.ai.
For illustration, we’ll use the Procreate app on an iPad.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR THE SESSIONS?

We can meet at the Agoura Community Center but also open other locations. The instructor will bring a laptop and portable monitor that mirrors the lessons on the instructors screen. The student will sit opposite the instructor and work together in real time.
